Rosemarie Forstner, Assoc. Prof, MD
Rosemarie Forstner, MD, is associate Professor at the Department of Radiology at Landeskrankenhaus, Uniklinikum Salzburg. She is specialised in female pelvic, genitourinary and abdominal imaging.
Dr. Forstner received her medical degree from the Innsbruck Medical University. In Salzburg, she finished her residency program, which was followed by a fellowship for abdominal MRI at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Forstner has been a member of the board of Austrian Rontgen society and is currently the past president. Additionally, she is a board member of societies such as the female imaging subgroup of the European Society of Urogenital Radiology and the International Cancer Imaging Society. In Salzburg, Dr. Forstner serves as lecturer at the Paracelsus Medical University. She has been invited to lecture for the European Congress of Radiology for many years, for Erasmus courses, ESOR, ICIS and ESUR courses. She serves as a reviewer for several journals including European Radiology, European Journal of Radiology, Abdominal Imaging, Cancer Imaging, and Röfo.
She is author of approximately 200 scientific publications and editor of the 2nd edition of the Book “CT and MRI of the female pelvis”.
